dig8 program volunteers are involved in the Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MaDE) undergraduate program as well as Engineering, Design, and Innovation (EDI) graduate program. MaDE educates engineers on all aspects of product realization from product design to manufacturing technologies and operations, and to provide students with the ability to integrate various design and manufacturing processes into an effective system. EDI is intended for recent engineering graduates who want to contribute to front-end innovation teams. EDI students use design thinking to solve complex, real-world problems in product design, interaction design, and service design. The program focuses on a human-centered approach, in order to solve the needs of real people.
